Treatment For Cancer Of The Pancreas

Treatment is available for all patients with cancer of the pancreas. There are three different types of treatments.
· Surgery – This involves the removal of the cancer or relieving the symptoms of the cancer. Various surgeries can be used in the treatment of pancreatic cancer.
· Radiation Therapy – using high-energy rays and x-rays to kill cancer cells
· Chemotherapy – using drugs to kill cancer cells.
The type of treatment used for cancer of the pancreas depends on what stage the patient is in, the patients age, and the patients overall condition.
