Computer is getting more and more sluggish.

I have recently noticed that my computer is getting more and more sluggish. If I go to the task manager, there are 4 or 5 svchost.exe files, but all virus scans reports are clean. I run anti-virus and spyware - and usually they turn up clean. I have run the anti-virus log, but I am not able to save the report – because the button is grayed out, even though the correct options have been selected. I can't figure out what the problem is!
