Diamond Rip-Offs

Saturday, August 29th, 2009

When it comes to diamonds, there are a lot of to stay away from. Most rip offs are negligible, although there are a few major ones that come up from time to time with reference to the purchasing and selling of moissanite engagement rings. Rip offs take place just for the reason that most people who purchase diamonds for doesn’t matter what reasons don’t know that much on the subject of diamonds. As a result, they are effortlessly duped. A general rip off that most jewelry stores take part in is the Carat Total Weight scam.

The label on the piece of jewelry, generally a ring, only states the total carat weight of all diamonds in the piece, as an alternative of listing the total weights independently for every diamond. This leads customers to consider that the central diamond in the piece is in reality bigger than it is. Inquire what the total carat weight of the center diamond is. Also be careful of small parts. Jewelry stores are permitted to improve diamond weights.

Prada Across The Water

Monday, November 26th, 2007

“Devon! Devon!,” I heard her cry from across the tiny bridge. “Wait for me!” So I waited. I couldn’t believe my eyes. She was actually going to cross that short but rickety pontoon bridge in her nightgown and heels. Well, maybe not her heels. She pulled them off and threw each one across and they landed about twenty feet from me. “Are you sure you want to do this?” I asked her.She replied with, “don’t you want me to?” What could I say? I knew she was serious when she took off and tossed her prada handbagand it landed right at my feet. “Guard that with your life!” she said. I picked it up and understood what she meant. At that moment, I wished I was a woman. I envied her.
