Enhancing Bible Study With Bible Accessories

Monday, December 1st, 2008

I did an inductive Bible study once that was taught on video by Kay Arthur. Her method utilizes different colored markers to highlight certain verses or phrases, or concepts, and I had no Bible accessories such as markers or pens at the time.

I did manage to scrape together some colored pencils, but I recently found some dry markers that I like much better. And I had trouble finding the various books of the Bible, so I purchased a set of tabs that are in large print and now it is easy to find the book that I am looking for.

They do differ in format and content

what is bible commentary - format and content - all about?  Well, the format of a Bible commentary refers to how the material is presented to you on the page — the way the content is laid out for you.  It includes such aspects as the print size and type of font that is used, the number of columns on the page, whether there are illustrations and maps included, and other design elements.  The content of the Bible commentary, on the other hand, refers to the nature of the material itself — what is being said.  The content of the Bible commentary may be very technical and in-depth, or a Bible commentary may have content that is suitable for a more general audience.  Understanding the peculiarities of the format and content of a Bible commentary is an important way of determining whether it will be suitable for you.
