Replacement Storm Windows Aid in Energy Efficiency

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

Let’s say you’ve purchased that older home that you’ve always admired and worked on fixing it up. When winter arrives, though, you’re shocked to find that it’s as cold as a barn inside your home and that wind and rain blow in around your windows. Your head is reeling with the thought of having to buy completely new windows for that entire massive house, and then you read an article telling you about the benefits of using replacement storm windows instead of replacing the windows themselves. Storm windows will plug the air leaks at a fraction of the price of new windows, and they only cost a fraction of the price. All of a sudden, you have the answer to your dilemma.

The Owens Corning roof shingles I want for my house

Sunday, September 20th, 2009

Last year there was a hurricane near where I live here in south Florida. Over the years I have been very lucky in the fact that I have never suffered any damage to my house due to a hurricane. For some reason I felt my luck was running out and I decided that I wanted to change out my roof. Through the advice of a friend I was looking at some Owens Corning roof shingles. I found out that some of these shingles could withstand 130 MPH winds. I felt these shingles would work out well for my house. I plan to have this done next week.

Wondering About Prefabricated Steel Structures

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

It’s time to get serious about Prefabricated Steel Structures.
I have a low budget, but need to expand my space.
I’m convinced that looking into Anthem Steel Buildings is the way to go. A solid choice at a reasonable price.
Hopefully I’ll be able to expand without too much pain.
Your comments are welcome as always.

Thinking About Prefabricated Steel Sheds And Buildings

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

So lately I’ve been wondering about Prefabricated Steel Sheds and Buildings.
I’ve been needing some more storage space for a while, now. The closets are getting overloaded. Prefabricated Steel Sheds and Buildings have been recommended to me.
I’ve been checking out Anthem Steel Buildings all over the Internet. Info is thin, but it looks promising overall.
I’m looking forward to the expansion, despite the expense.
Ok - that’s it for today.

Getting Used to Free Electricity

Monday, June 15th, 2009

I remember seeing this special on television about how the use of solar panels can even make you money.  I thought they were saying that this could happen, but probably wouldn’t happen for most people.  However, the more that I looked into it I realized that this was happening far more often than I originally suspected.  Apparently installing solar panels is much easier than I thought it could be.  In fact there are do it yourself kits that are available and very easy to understand.  I am currently on a waiting list to receive my first kit.  I should be getting energy from the sun in no time.

Flooring for Outdoors

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

I cannot believe summer is so close. I love the sunshine, outdoor activities, and impromptu gatherings. This year I asked my husband if we could update our deck. Of course, he was hesitant at first at what that could mean. Then, we got on the internet and looked at our options. We researched all types of cheap outdoor flooring to see what we could afford and also something we can install ourselves. Another consideration is what kind of maintenance will be involved. I love the eco friendly “green” options that are using recycled products to make unique flooring. I think we may try some interlocking deck tiles; unless I find something I like more.

Making life easy

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

I believe it is always better to make life easy and therefore I went out and bought myself a really nice small seated tubs from a local bathroom showroom. I spent quite a lot of money but I think it was worth every penny.

In the kitchen

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

I really love the look of my kitchen especially since it was redesigned in a few months ago. I took the advice of a friend when I redesigned the room and that’s part of it I decided to fit Nora rubber flooring because my friend told me it really was a great thing to have in a room. Now that it has been installed I can honestly say that I think I made the right decision because it looks absolutely perfect and all my friends say so too.

The cheapest price

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

I refurbish my bathroom last year and I was desperate to make it as cheap as possible and therefore I took a look at a Bathroom Vanity Clearance at my local bathroom showroom and it was then I managed to find a very cheap price indeed. I managed to save myself a lot of money.

The right shape

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

I have a really nice patio and I really do like to spend time at the doing the summer months when I can have a really nice cup of coffee while I look at my garden. A few months ago I decided that I would install some really nice Patio Blinds so that it would make the patio look even better than before. They were quite expensive but I’m really glad I spent the money because now I feel even better.
