A Lovely Home With A Beautiful Arch Window

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

Both small and large elements create a beautiful home. The scope of the exterior and the details of the interior contribute equally. What color paint you choose for the outside influences what type of wood you choose for the arch blinds on the inside. Or will you choose to buy different arch window treatments altogether? How you incorporate your personal taste into your style can be accomplished in a variety of ways. Will you take a chance with something bold or will you bask in the comfort of a classic decor? Each decision will potentially alter the course of cocktail parties and hence alter the course of your life.

3 Inch, 2 Inch, or 1 Inch Faux Wood Blinds?

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

When creating a sophisticated and classy decor, how the lines run through your room from one piece to the next make a big difference in how each piece is interpreted. Take window coverings for example. Are the size of the slats 3 inch, 2 inch, or 1 inch faux wood blinds? It’s not the quality of the material of cheap faux wood blinds that makes the biggest difference in the overall impact of the design, but the small decisions like the size of the slat that play a crucial role. A smalled size blind can seem a bit tweedy and impertinent, while a thicker blind may add sophhisticated or feel bulbous and heavy.

Shed Some Light On Your Work With Antique Bankers Lamps

Friday, December 19th, 2008

When I work I like to have a great deal of light, especially if I am sewing or working with photos.  Nothing tires my eyes more than dim lighting.  So when I was looking for a really good lamp, a friend told me that antique bankers lamps were just the ticket for me. Most of these lamps are available in brass with a green shade, but I like blue, so I went online and searched until I found a perfect lamp with a midnight blue shade.  It had a regional wiring, so I had to take it to an electrician and have it rewired, but it just took a few minutes and did not cost a great deal. And now I have perfect work light.

I need someone to do my floors

Sunday, December 7th, 2008

I know the floors in my house have been nice with carpet, but I really want something that is much easier to clean, and doesn’t bother my husband’s allergies. I want to get new flooring, but I just not sure what to get. I need someone to come in to help me decide what to get, then I need them to do that Interior Design Job for me so I don’t have to worry about my husband doing it. My husband likes to do projects around the house, but most of the time he doesn’t do them the way they are supposed to be done.

Getting teeth pulled in the early 1900’s

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

Something that not many people like to do is go to the dentist. I don’t know if it is all the instruments, or the sounds, or what, but it seems to be something that most people don’t like to do. For some reason, I really like going to the dentist, so I decided to start collecting some chairs. When I got my first Antique-Dental-Chair, my wife looked at me like I was crazy. I think she thought it looked like something from some kind of scary movie. Now, I have a display room where I keep all my antique type purchases.

Should I Have My Decorative Wall Crosses Blessed?

Saturday, February 2nd, 2008

This is a matter of personal preference and belief structure.  If you are part of a particular faith that offers these blessings, there is no harm in it.  On the other hand, if you do not believe in custom of blessing objects, there is no point to having a decorative wall cross blessed.  That said, you may simply want to keep your mind open on the matter, and decide at a later date.

How To Create The Perfect Romantic Bedrooms

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

You might ask how romantic bedrooms design is going to help jump start a them drive. My answer to that question would be to ask, how can you look forward to time in your love nest if you have to kick stuff chosen for charity out of the way to make your way across the floor? Bedrooms are located in the more private areas of your home and unfortunately they may be used as a catchall for items that were cluttering up the living spaces in your home. If you have accumulated baskets of dirty clothes, piles of stuff that don't fit, exercise equipment that is rarely used and a stack of past due bills to remind you that your budget is trashed, sexual relations are more than likely the last thing on your mind.
