Despite the difficult worldwide economic conditions the currency of Canada has remained robust relative to the value of the US dollar. Previously the currencies rise was on the back of surging demand for resources and oil. Despite the deflating values of commodities, the Canadian currency exchange rate is holding up relatively well. This is in light of the fact that the US dollar has staged a rally relative to other currencies as US citizens repatriate their overseas investments. This is proving to be an advantage for Canadian citizens who are apt to travel or who are looking for opportunities in overseas markets or to take advantage of the greater purchasing power afforded when traveling.

My Experiences With How To Become A Financial Planner

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

Ok, I’ve decided to start looking into
How to Become a Financial Planner. I’ve always been good with money and enjoy finance, so it seems like a perfect fit. Plus I can work for real people, helping them achieve financial independence.
I’ve been researching the average Financial Planner Starting Salary in particular. Registration requirements aren’t too bad for someone with my background/
I’ve always preferred working for real people rather than corporations anyway.
What do you think?

Switching To Sustainable Investing

Saturday, September 13th, 2008

I’ve been checking out the possibilities of
Sustainable Investing more and more these days, and I am excited about them. I think it’s finally possible to put together a portfolio that’s good for your soul as well as the bottom line.
In particular, Green Investing has had some fascinating developments lately. It’s a mixed bag, of course - there is not such thing as a perfectly environmentally sound business. But the market is finally beginning to flex its power.
I see green investing as one more way to use my own economic power to help to shift things in a better direction. Every little bit helps.
I’ll post more soon.

Considering A Financial Planning Career

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

I think it’s about time I considered making a shift to
A Financial Planning Career. It sounds like much more fun than what I’m doing now.
From what I can tell from reading about
Becoming A Financial Planner, the requirements aren’t too bad for someone with a law degree.
I couldn’t possibly care less about working with big corporations. I much prefer to help people I know with their finances.
I’ll be looking forward to your comments.

India Forex Trading: Risk Involved?

Friday, February 1st, 2008

Is indian forex trading as risky as the common perception of people goes? The best way to measure the risk is to check the risk: reward ratio. In comparison to other securities and financial instruments, then you would find that the risk involved is very low. By no means is India forex trading completely free of risk but you do not stand to suffer a complete investment disaster when it comes to India forex trading. Remember that when you trade India forex, you can easily strike the point of balance in risk and return.
