The International Library of Piano Music and Why It Failed
Sunday, November 1st, 2009The creation of the international library of piano music was truly noble. It provided clear lessons on how piano classes were conducted in the past and showed newer ways of conducting piano lessons. During the 1980s, the library produced some LPs and used them to teach music instructors how to create specific sounds.Perhaps the greatest undoing of the library was the high cost of the set of instructions. While it was intended to improve piano lessons at home, the library could have reduced the number of adherents due to the reduction in number of people taking piano lessons at home.
