@thewebmogul There are acessories for USB, SD cards, and the camera attachment. Jaibreaking might have a way to use a camera as a webcam. Multitasking comes in the 4.0 update, flash may come in a later model and it’s outdated so yeah. Also nobody cares about the HP Slate Windows 7 was meant to be used with a mouse and keyboard it’s going to be very hard to use on the slate which is touchscreen although I am a little excited for the slate

The thing with most Apple products is that they are only good for beginners, old people, those easily influenced by this marketing, etc. A power user will always feel patronised and at times annoyed by the sort of things Apple makes and markets. For example, Steve is claiming that the iPad does internet better than a Netbook. Does it? Really?

@Quintuplin12 Sorry HP Slate is way better and more important features and no need to wait for updates like Html5 has that will automatically be compatible with HP Slate anyway and HTML5 will take a year for it to be compatible for all billions of websites. Flash already has 90% of all websites so I can still enjoy all of Videos with no problem Ipad have wait wait wait..,. :)-

I am not and experts on gadgets but I think the ipad is better than the slate, i dont have much knowledge on the slate but really? is internet explorer or whatever the browser is on the slate better than safari?

sd, usb, hdmi are legit complaints… but Apple likes clean designs, so no chance of that. personally, I don’t mind going through the computer for anything I’d need those cables for. just a thought, but wasn’t the iPhone laughed at too?
Final thought: have you actually tried an iPad? Cause i was against it too, until I tried it myself. Now I love it…. so, try it before you write it off, eh?

@thewebmogul there may be a hulu app coming soon. Apple only really blocks porn apps… but you can still go online, so there is no “big apple brother watching you” thing, its all blown out of proportion. HTML5 is being developed for videos. Youtube has an HTML5 BETA out already. Apps don’t take much space, so 64 GB (top model) is more than enough, and will probably DOUBLE next year.
holding an iPad means a video conference would be a short movie of your shnoz (its pretty heavy to hold eye-level

My ASUS UL80VT with Windows 7 “just works” too. After I downloaded the Black Screen of Death fix HAHAHA. Oh and 100 updates. Well, every O.S. has updates. But now it just works lol. My old Macbook with Tiger seized up more than this ever has. So Steve Jobs should “just stop” with the “just works”. Win XP on my machines crashed about as much as my Macbook with Tiger.

@deagle1231 Hey man, blame Steve Jobs for saying or implying (in part 1) that the iPad is a new category that does things better than a smartphone or laptop.
iPad is a TOY. It’s nice to have but it doesn’t solve ANY problems. They’re not even TRYING to make it kick butt at anything. They’re just milking the popularity of their other hardware. I think it’s a disservice to Apple loyalists.
If companies bring ultralight notebooks with touchscreen down in price… oh yeah, now we’re talking!
