In case you didnt notice, Apple recently announced the iPad tablet in Yerba Buena. They are still demoing different features on it, but while they loaded the National Geographic website it appeared to have loaded a flash ad. The iPad may support flash! If this is true then that means the iPhone and iPod touch will get flash too since they are also running on the iPhone OS. www.ragnarson-fotograf.se

@maciindrew before computer technology really took off, commercials/advertising had their own flare and creativity throughout the decades. Same went for TV shows throughout the decades. FYI, apparently Windows is still used across the U.S. State agencies even use windows platforms. IT builds there system among Windows. You really have a tough sell with Apple products maciindrew yet when you call people unsohpiscated, you are talking about very smart people in the public sector.

@WorldofNene - yeah, people still limping along with windows based products are seen as unsophisticated, everyone in this industry tries not to laugh at them, but sometimes it’s just too overwhelming

Apple makes Ads that are beautiful, we all agree with that, check out the Pixar & Target Ads in the iPhone 4.0 demo, very sweet… Yes, Apple will do Ads right, no more hard sell, no more flashing banners or cheesy approaches. We’ll see how Flash turns out in the real world, but currently HTML5 is far ahead. Nah, Apple controls the PC, Phone and Tablet space so developers have pretty much given up on Windows as a platform… it’s just too primitive to keep them engaged.

Its so easy to pull Apple dribble and nonsense into the open. Did you know that Flash player 10 on windows is 58% more efficient than html5 in Google Chrome? Flash is able to take advantage of GPU hardware acceleration in windows. while apple wlll be left out of the loop. You think thats good though. too funny

they may have a strategy, but none wil implement it because flash kills batteries. no, the iAd approach is beautiful, they are tiny banners and no more than 10 can be shown in a day… it’s the perfect way to get rid of spam. watch the iPhone 4.0 keynote (towards the end) to see how they work, very, very slick.

@maciindrew Every mobile device manufacturer has a flash 10.1 strategy and has announced its integration. Except Apple that is. h.264 in flash 10.1 has hardware acceleration that is lessens the drain on cpu to negligible levels. It also has instance management that will be great for moblile device small screens. You better watch the iad campaign to see that you will be receiving an iad on every single page and that without the instance management the iad will be in your face 100% ifool.

but 98% of mobile devices DO NOT have flash, so you aren’t understanding the product segment. flash is being phased out for HTML5 anyway, so it’s not a longterm problem… it just means you won’t have to deal with spam on the iPad… so sad, so sad…

you can always add a camera if you want, the problem with a built in one is the “angle” of the lens… do you really want a camera always looking at the ceiling or up your nose?

magical.. w t f .. its hard to see how people are possibly so stupid to fall for a useless product like this. NO FLASH = you have to change yourself . because 98 percent of the computers have flash. It just feels wrong to get a blue lego because Jobs wants to route you through his app store. I just DO .. not want that bent over screaming feeling. I just sold my other apple products before the iad launch.
