General Liability: It’s A Part Of Doing Business.
Friday, November 28th, 2008A few years ago, I was faced with the somewhat-nerve-racking task of an insurance audit.
As a small business owner, I realize the necessity for such animals, but the reality of the situation is they are never angst-free.
In my line of business (wholesale building product sales), my General Liability policy is in line with my risks in three primary areas: Inventory loss or damage, job site accident costs, and a specific, hazardous material clause.
What my insurance company wants to know is how my products are being stored and delivered, what the total annual sales average is, and if we sub-contract any of our work.
It’s all business and it’s all legitimate.
