ethics in the workplace

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

It’s getting increasingly important for companies to stress ethical behavior for their employees.  That’s why I’m grateful my employer has a great culture with cornerstone values.  Ethics in the workplace could stand to have some more stress in my opinion, what with Enron and the like happening every few months it seems.  Why can’t these rich CEO’s be placated with their incredible earning packages, why do they feel the need to pad their pockets even further by ripping of the stockholders and risking jail time?  I suppose they don’t think they’ll get caught, that they’re too smart for that.

Don’t Settle For Vintage Type Clothing - Get True Vintage Clothing!

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

Typically when we think of vintage type of clothing, we think of old, hand-me-downs that we would get from our siblings. A lot of designers make vintage type clothing so they are brand new with that old school style. Designers pick up on trends and start producing them through their lines of clothing. Now you can get styles from the 60’s or 70’s that are done by your favorite brand names. Vintage dresses, jeans and shirts all look great and are so fun to wear. But for those who want the entire experience of wearing true vintage clothing from a different era, they may go to a thrift store or a secondhand store. Then they can find real fashion from those time periods and not have mock ones. That is true vintage clothing that can’t be found anywhere else or imitated by anyone.

No complaints for tayama rice cooker

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

Being an extremely lazy cook (but not a lazy eater!), I can’t tell you how thankful I am for the invention of rice cookers. I can just put in the rice and forget all about it. The Tayama Rice Cooker, which I have been using for donkey’s years now, has withstood all my banging and total dependence on it faithfully. It comes with its own measuring cup. A spatula is also thrown in. The non-stick inner pan is just doing fine and my rice doesn’t stick to the bottom.

Learning About Used Pickups

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

I’ve been curious lately about Used Pickups.
I have to do a lot of hauling for my business, so I’ve got to have a pickup.
My dad told me to check out Used Pickups. It looks like a good option. Prices have really come down.
I really have no choice, even though I’d rather get a smaller car. I have too much hauling to do.
More on this soon.
