Steps to follow to achieve successful E-books

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

Creating an e-book is an easy way to get you feet wet in the world of internet marketing. With a few tips below you should not need to delay writing your own any longer. Some people use other writers to help with the content until they feel happy they can do this on their own.

Once you've decided on a topic for your E-Book, and have done research to ensure that people are looking for and buying information on this topic, write a series of articles. Why not start by writing a range of articles which will not only help you with your writing practice but they can be used to get interest in the book you are compiling. Post several articles on various websites, as well as on the article directories and the number of views your articles receive will show you what potential your book has for making sales.

It is then a simple matter of writing more articles for the e-book itself, all the time working on the overall structure of it. Most books are set out with an introduction, the main topic and then a conclusion but you may want to add a resource section as well which is quite normal these days. To help increase the number of sales it is often worth adding extra material.

As you complete your articles, insert them into your e-Book, the number of articles you require will depend on the overall length. Because e-books are usually shorter than a printed version, no-one wants to read material that has been added that is not related so it is best to stay close to the topic of the book. People do not like reading on compute screens so prefer to have shorter books that do not drift from the subject. This is one of the drawbacks however of e-books much to the advantage of  book guild publishing .

As an added extra, why not supply the reader with some bonus material you have located to give added value to your e-book; this is always appreciated. From your point of view this bonus information does not need to be anything more than some extra articles you did not use in the book or a short report you have written. However, as with all the material you create for your e-Book, ensure that your bonus material is relevant because it should be valuable on its own.
